How To Build A Fruitful Ministry ~ http://martinschmaltz.com/?p=2082

It is common in the church world to create programs with positions, and then seek to assemble ministry teams based on the needs of the program. Many times individuals are asked to participate in areas that may not allow them to excel in their gifting. Unfortunately, this results in a lack of fruitfulness, which produces frustration and a high turnover of individuals and the program fails. Is there an answer? Can we make ministry more fruitful and fulfilling? I believe the answer is yes! It begins with our foundation.

How To Know A Good Sermon When You Here One

First of all, a sermon ought to be personal and immediate. It needs to be both specific and incarnational.. . .

A good sermon needs to be relevant. It must answer the questions that are being asked. . . .

A good sermon has a clear purpose.. . .

A good sermon is biblical, grounded in Scripture. . . .

But while a good sermon is scriptural, it is not about the Bible. It points to Jesus....

A good sermon uses lots of stories. That was Jesus’ own method. . . .

A good sermon is interesting. The ultimate heresy is to make the gospel boring. . . .

A good sermon implies that the preacher is under judgment too.. . .

Finally, a good sermon must offer hope.

Jesus Did It Again!

This morning we ministerd two sessions at the Men’s Advance for Carlisle Christian Fellowship in Carlisle PA. The first session was on “Silence is Deadly.” Men were created to be the “rememberer” – to continually recall the will, purposes or plans of God.  By doing so, we pass on the praises of God from one generation to another.

Second session was: “Defining Apostolic.” Each born again believer has been sent by Jesus and authorized to use His power to demonstrate the Kingdom of heaven. During this session, four men were healed of the following: thoracic outlet syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic shoulder injury and an old neck injury with limited mobility! Praise God!

More importantly, faith was increased for the men in attendance to step into the giftings God has given them. Looking forward to the morning services when ministering to the whole assembly. Expecting Jesus to do it again!
